My flower decoration surprise was an absolute success! My girlfriend woke up this morning to a stunning display of flowers, covering the walls of our hotel room from the floor to the ceiling. After I decorated the hotel room, I rested on the bed until my girlfriend woke up. She truly is a very heavy sleeper, seeing as she didn’t even flinch when I accidentally dropped a bouquet of flowers everywhere. I laughed to myself when I was sure that she wasn’t awake and called them ground cover roses in my head. I’m always making myself laugh.
She was facing me when her eyes fluttered open around 9 am. She woke up so peacefully that my heart danced at the sight of her. Once she had stopped looking at me, her eyes widened. She noticed that the colours on the walls were different and that there was a different texture to them. When her sleepy eyes adjusted to the beginning of the day, she realised that our entire hotel bedroom was covered in roses. The moment was romantic, to say the least.
I then offered to cook her breakfast and so she came into the kitchen area with me. She was stunned to see climbing roses growing all over the walls. She actually cried and told me how incredible I am. She said she’s going to love me forever and said that she can’t wait until we spend the rest of our lives together. I embraced her and told her that I feel the exact same way. I love this girl with all my heart.
It’s unlikely that I’ll ever find someone as special as my girlfriend. I know I do the majority of the woo-ing and making the other person feel special, but it’s because she doesn’t even need to try. She makes me feel special just by smiling at me. I think on our next holiday I am going to one-up myself and propose.
